Evironmental Policy
General
As Qatar's leading building and civil engineering company, OITC Group W.L.L is intent on carrying out its activities with focus on the impact upon the environment. Compliance with current legislation and other environmental requirements, especially our clients' requirements and expectations, is the basis for our environment-related efforts.
Objectives
We will ensure that our employees are at all times qualified to perform the environmental tasks in a responsible way. We will continue our endeavours to anticipate how our activities may affect the environment. We will continue our endeavours to identify environmental factors and/or risks as early as possible, in order to make decisions based on relevant facts and take proper actions.
Responsibility and Assignments
The Board of Management is responsible for the approval of the Environmental Policy and shall ensure that the environmental policy statement is adhered to throughout the company. Business Development is responsible for preparation and revision of the Environmental Policy.
The Board of Management and the divisional management shall observe the Environmental Policy. In liaison with Health, Safety & Quality, management shall communicate the group objectives and ensure that they are met. All relevant personnel shall be familiar with the Environmental Policy in order to comply with the policy.
Health and Safety Policy
General
As Qatar’s leading marine and civil engineering company, OITC Group W.L.L is intent on promoting a business culture that focuses on encouraging personnel safety and welfare and avoiding accidents at the working areas.
Objectives
We will ensure that our personnel are qualified to perform their tasks properly at all times. We will ensure to follow the developments in occupational health and safety that are incorporated into GCC regulations. We will implement regular surveys of the state of occupational health and safety and carry out systematic hazard assessments of the company's activities. We will be able to plan accident prevention measures and integrate occupational health and safety effectively and appropriately into company activities in order to ensure continuous improvement to the working environment.
Responsibilities and Assignments
The Board of Management is responsible for approval of the Health and Safety Policy and action plans, and specifying the group objectives for occupational health and safety. Business Development is responsible for preparation and revision of the Health and Safety Policy. The Board of Management and the divisional management shall comply with the occupational Health and Safety Policy. In liaison with Health, Safety & Quality, management shall ensure that action plans are prepared with the help of input from the safety committees. Divisional management shall communicate the objectives and action plans to the personnel and monitor progress on the action plans. Everybody in the company, i.e. management, personnel and the safety organisation, have a responsibility in respect to a safe working environment and shall actively contribute to the implementation of the group objectives and the action plans. Management at each level shall live up to its responsibility in ensuring that the work in the respective division/section/department/site meets the requirements of occupational health and safety legislation and this policy. All personnel shall be familiar with and live up to their responsibilities and assignments. They must observe relevant requirements of safety legislation and this policy.
All personnel are duty bound to try to prevent reckless or hazardous practices or activities and notify their line manager of incidents there of.
Quality Policy
General
As Qatar's leading marine and civil engineering company,OITC Group W.L.L is intent on carrying out activities, which focus on ensuring that the quality of our projects meets the expe ctations of our clients.
Objectives
We will ensure that our quality management system is used as a management tool, in connection with tendering, contracting, designing, planning, executing and handing over of the works. We will ensure that our Quality Management System is continuously developed based on experience in practice with use of the system and that the system, as a minimum, always complies with current legislation and other regulations. We will ensure that the Integrated Management System, including quality management, is used so that we prevent mistakes and avoid cost demanding failures and damages. We will ensure that the works are handed over without deficiencies and that notices of defects are answered immediately and remedied as soon as possible.
We will ensure that regular evaluations of notices of defects, nonconformities and client's feedbacks continuously improve the quality activities. The works will be carried out with qualified employees, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, to the full satisfaction of our interested parties.
